Talk the talk while walking the walk

Whether you walk or run outdoors or use a treadmill, stair-climber, or some other equipment, or, just work out in the yard you need to monitor yourself to see if you are over-exerting yourself.

How can you tell if you are in your target zone or “safe zone”?

The simplest method is called the “talk test”

What is this? —-
Basically, you should be able to speak in your normal voice and tone during your exercise or activity session.

If you are out of breath and are unable to speak regularly, then you need to lower your intensity level by slowing down.
