Seniors wonder about the frequency of exercising

Today’s post is short and sweet:)

I have been working with seniors since the spring of 2007 and believe me, I have seen many different attitudes about exercise, from LET’S DO THIS to being just plain ignored by some in the groups.

Many of the seniors who do participate in classes have been asking me: “How often should I do these exercises?”

I have started saying: “start off easy and build up to as much as you can tolerate”

Those who are motivated enough to ask that question will push for better results on their own, whereas the ones who would not ask that questions typically won’t.

By suggesting they listen to their own bodies as they improve helps to develop a better connection and with some, motivates them to push a little more.
