Try this simple arm and shoulder exercise

August 10, 2013

Here is a simple “Fly away” exercise to work on your arms and shoulders.

The animation runs much faster than the exercise should be done.  You should actually do this as slowly as you can to get the full effect of the movement.

  1. Starting from center stance, arms hanging loose at your side.
  2. Slowly raise your upper arms to shoulder height keeping your wrists loose.
  3. Let your hands float higher up as you start lowering your arms
  4. Relax your hands as your arms come back to your sides
  5. Repeats 10 to 15 times, inhale as you raise your arms, exhale as you lower.

Take your time with this. Do your best to keep both sides as even in the movement as you can.

Let me know how you make out and how your shoulders, upper back and arms feel after doing this exercise.
