Working the exercises just for the benefits

This made me smile today at the Washington NJ Senor Center.

One of the women said ” I am not going to exercise with you .. I already did my exercises this morning”

She ended up doing everything and got into discussions about some of the benefits of some of them. She then started a conversation about the value of meditation that her daughter got her into.

There was nothing said about age, just about benefits and value keeping fitness in your life!

Her attitude and interest managed to spur some of the others into action, which is a behavior I have found at other centers.  One of the women who had a recent fall and broke her elbow worked with her good arm and did the leg exercises.

All in all, a good session with folks 70 and above working themselves as best they could and enjoying it.
